Fireplace Cave Winterlislöchli
The Nagelfluh, conglomerate cave in “Flüe”, located between Osterfingen and Wilchingen, offers beautiful, unobstructed views towards neighbouring German Klettgau and radiates peace and harmony. The cave’s name,"Winterlislöchli”, is based on the narrative told by past Wilchingen locals, about a hawker woman called “Winterlise” who dwelled there on and off during her wanderings. Today it offers the wine-growers from the vineyard below, “im Hohlenberg” a cool, shady spot to rest in summer, and in autumn to roast the traditional sausages (Herbsterschüblinge) over the fire.
