«Obere Stube» House of Culture
Temporary and contemporary
In the ensemble of houses formerly used as the guild house "Zur Rose" there are historical exhibitions and contemporary national and international art on display. The two special exhibition rooms are regularly revisited. Themes from classical modernism, design, regional culture and history, but also performative and experimental art find a new venue here.
The large guild hall from the 15th century, in which semi-permanent exhibitions are shown, and the wood-paneled guild room from 1681 are the historical highlights.
Floating Stones - Art and Culinary
The inner courtyard is surprising: here, Australian artist Jamie North has created a striking sculptural landscape. A wall full of floating stones gives the courtyard structure and character. Art and nature combine in a unique way. Those who want to escape the hustle and bustle of the old town for a while will find a quiet spot here. In a special ambience, you can enjoy the culinary offerings of the Kulturbeiz and linger amidst art.
