Siblinger Randenturm
In 1872, the first observation tower was built by the Nature Friends at Schlossbuck in Siblingen. However, ten years later it was swept away by a storm and that same year it was replaced by a 12-metre high iron lattice tower.
This had a significantly longer service life. It served its purpose until 2014. However, it had become so dilapidated that a replacement was needed. Today’s, architecturally and technically unusual tower, was inaugurated on 8th November, 2014. On the 19-metre high platform an exceptional panorama unfolds to the visitors, from the Vorarlberg Alps to the east and central Swiss mountains till the peaks of the Bernese Oberland, and further to the heights of the Black Forest. Also breathtaking are the unobstructed views of the lovely landscape of the Klettgau and Randen forests.
