Seldenhalde

In spring, shortly after the snow melts, thousands of snowflakes bloom in full splendour in the forest area of the Auenwald nature reserve.

Situated north of Schleitheim, directly on the German border, it is also one of the largest alluvial forests in Switzerland and is part of the federal inventory of landscapes worthy of protection. The Auenwald nature reserve lies directly on the Wutach. The border river Wutach has been renaturalised in recent years and can largely find its own way. This creates a unique, huge biotope with an incredibly diverse flora and fauna.

A leisurely hiking trail leads through the unique landscape from Oberwiesen, Schleitheim along the Wutach to the "Seldenhalde".
